Developed due to the alarming rate of youth sports related injuries, Standard Fitness Company is designed to help reduce the rate of injuries and in turn, improve athletic performance. Our workouts are designed to provide youth athletic coaches proper technique in movement patterns as well as real time program design. Our goal at Standard Fitness is to be your go to partner for all things Strength, Conditioning and Sports Training. With over 75 years of practical, educational and clinical experience, the team at Standard Fitness Fitness is positioned to be your foremost expert on all things weight training, conditioning, speed, agility and fitness. Be it football, soccer or basketball, the fundamentals of movement are basically the same and our team of coaches have the know how on what exercises to perform, how to perform them properly to prevent injuries and improve athletic performance and, as important, how to program them.
This monthly plan is designed in the coach the coach format. Each week, a new set of training sessions will be rolled out, designed to prevent injuries and improve athletic performance. These workouts will be programmed relative to each season of a football teams calendar year. For example, in season workouts will be three workouts per week build around a Friday game day scenario. On the other hand, off-season winter conditioning plans will consist of 4-5 workouts per week and focus on getting prepared for the upcoming season.

The numbers support the need for sound strength and conditioning programs for our young athletes. Recent data indicates that anywhere between 100,000 and 300,000 ACL injuries occur each year in the United States among high school athletes, with an estimated 70% being non-contact in nature. The reason for this is simple; biomechanics. While many young athletes participate in some sort of weigh training program, very few are exposed to and coached on proper fundamentals of movement. The founder of our company, Mike Huster, realized this in the course of developing and patenting the AIM Trainer, a device used to help strengthen the intrinsic muscles of the hip complex. Through much academic and hands on research, he witnessed first hand that there was a need to teach these principles to our young athletes. Our goal is to provide the research driven framework for your training related goals. When it comes to athletics, we emphasize injury prevention over how much weight you can lift. After all, it doesn't matter whether of not you can power clean 315 pounds if you're on the sideline with a torn ACL.
